After opening an office in Hamburg for strengthening the bank's presence in foreign countries, the Central Bank of Hungary (MNB) launched its new Paris office Monday morning.
MNB 20150702The reason for MNB foreign offices to strengthen cooperation with foreign partner institutions and to connect to the international research and financial scientific circulation. According to MNB's previous announcements, the new offices are workplace for “an office manager, an economist-financial analyst and an assistant”.

The central bank announced a year ago that it would open offices abroad. First was established in Hamburg, now Paris is following, and more to come with offices in Rome, New York, Buenos Aires and Beirut. The MNB had had actually seven offices in foreigner countries previously, i.e. Germany, France, Switzerland, UK and USA, but were closed years ago. The government believes the reopening will help strengthen Hungary's financial relations regarding the European Central Bank.
